a bold statement

I'm going to make a bold statement. 2010 has been the best year. Ever. If I could choose one word for 2010, it would absolutely be: epic.

Let's recap, shall we?

a trip to the beautiful midwest

I fell in love with the Mississippi.

two Ragnar relays:

LA

 Wasatch Back

my sista Cami came back to me

I became an aunt...
... and a godmother

college graduation (finally!)

Idaho

concerts...

... with Michael Cera in them

Harry Potter 7 (part uno)

my first cello concert

California

.... twice

and oh ummm Africa

I'm really not sure how I'll be able to beat this year but I'm always up for a challenge. I hope I can make that statement all over again.

I can't wait to see what 2011 holds.

Happy New Year!

oh harry

I have one word for you:

BUTTERBEER

If that word means nothing to you, please scooch yourself off my blog and go read the Harry Potter books then come back when you're ready.

If you have drooled over the thought of this brew every time you read about it, and hey, maybe you've daydreamed about it every now and then- this post is for you.

My sister sent me this recipe she found for butterbeer a while ago and I have been sitting on the edge of my seat awaiting the day that we would be able to whip up a batch. We finally got to make it a few weekends ago and ooooh boy it did not disappoint- a concoction even Severus Snape would be proud of. Next time I'm going to try heating it up (what happens when you cook soda??) but this is definitely a good start.

So roll up your sleeves, pull out your wands and get to work.

Cheers!

συμφωνία

{Agreement or concord of sound.}

I love the cello. I love the symphony.

They're so naturally beautiful. No frills, no dressings, no dumb stage props, no stupid jokes between movements. This is the symphony. One of the oldest forms of music and entertainment. If you don't like it, you are classless. So straightforward.

If this or this doesn't move you- maybe you should get your heart checked. I think perhaps you've turned into the tin man.
